The “UMW” or United Methodist Women is a large, organized group of women in the local church, offering smaller women’s groups called circles, special groups, mission opportunities, and unit meetings.
Meeting Times
General Meetings – Second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. or 7 p.m.
Circle “Fellowship” Groups – Mostly meet on the 3rd week of the month.
“Esther”- Monday at 7 p.m.
“Deborah– Tuesday at 7 p.m.
“Mary Ruth”- Wednesday at 1 p.m.
“Early Birds”- Saturday at 9 a.m.
Annual Coat and Jacket Drive
Each Fall and Winter, Shawnee United Methodist Church reminds the congregation of the need for coats and jackets of all sizes. We give washable items to Cross-Lines agency. Non-washable items go to Shawnee Community Services. Some of the children’s items have gone to Blue Jacket Schools. In addition, we have collected warm hats, gloves, and scarves. As you begin to assess your family’s clothing for Fall and Winter, please consider donating to the Church’s “coat and jacket ministry”.
