Do you enjoy a good book from time to time? Join one of our reading groups where you can delve into interesting discussion on books from the best sellers lists, as well as some titles that lean toward the spiritual life.
Garden Angels
A group meeting weekly during “growing season” to trim, weed, mulch, plant and maintain landscaping around the church. Good “clean” fun!
Church Library
Visit our impressive church library and find books, CD’s, DVD’s, video and other resources from current to classic, children’s to young adult to adult interests. Open weekdays, Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings 6:30-8 p.m.
Financial Planning
Offered once a year – Dave Ramsey’s Peace University Financial Planning seminar for couples. Thirteen weeks of strategies to help families plan their budgets in the context of faithful living.
Ambassadors
If you’re a senior, join us for the “Ambassadors”- A senior citizens fellowship of Shawnee United Methodist Church members and others from the community which meets for potluck lunch and an interesting afternoon program the 2nd Monday of each month at noon. We gather at 11:30 AM for a time of fellowship.
Boy Scouts
If you have a child interested in Scouting, we have Troop 93. They meet Mondays in Fellowship Hall at 7:30 p.m. As many as 237 Eagle Scouts have held a Court of Honor through our scouting program.
Cub Scouts
Pack 3352 meets the 4th Wednesday of each month in Fellowship Hall at 7 p.m. and Pack 3127 meets the last Tuesday in Fellowship Hall 7 p.m.
