Worship Ministry
Do you enjoy the world of audio, technology and graphics design? Openings are available for worship service on a rotation schedule. Training is provided.
Music Ministry
Shawnee United Methodist Church is alive with the sound of music, praising God in many forms! There is a vocal choir. Occasionally talented musicians from the congregation come together to form a band with Tubas, Upright String Bass, violins, clarinets, flutes, brass, and percussion.
At other times, small ensembles (vocal and instrumental) will perform. Or if you prefer not to join a group, you’re welcome to sit amongst the congregation and make a joyful noise to the Lord.
Chancel Choir
A group of volunteer singers including adults and Senior high youth. Music-reading skills are helpful but not required! Chancel choir leads the congregation in worship music for the worship service at 10:30am in the Sanctuary. Chancel choir offers their musical ministry from September through June and rehearses each Wednesday evening during season from 7-8:30 PM. All singers are welcome.
Bell Choir
The bells are play for the church from September to April. We welcome new ringers. Practice is on Wednesday at 5:45 pm in the Bell Room, Room 303 E.
